Potsdam\, NY 13676.  Telephone 315-267-2000. \nFrom Sea to Sky: Stories of Amazing Women for Oboe\, Clarinet in B-flat\, and Bassoon celebrates a group of remarkable women who profoundly influenced our world. From the depths of the sea to the expansive skies and beyond\, it chronicles the extraordinary contributions of women in science\, the arts\, and exploration. Option to perform as a whole or choose sections for concerts and educational events. \nThis work explores the following women: \n\nJeanne Villepreux-Power(1794-1871)\, the inventor of the Aquarium and a leading researcher in cephalopods.\nAnna May Wong(1905-1961) – the first Chinese American film star in Hollywood who was a champion for Asian Americans in film and television.\nThe mother-daughter duo of Marie(1867-1934) and Irène Curie(1897-1956) who both won Nobel Prizes for their work in radioactivity.\nBessie Coleman(1892-1926) – the first African American woman and Native American Woman to hold a pilot’s license.\nSally Ride(1951-2012) – First American woman to fly in space.\nNicole Aunapu Mann(1977- ) – first Native American woman in space.\n\n  \n \nAll of Jenni’s compositions are available for purchase on her website Home – Jenni Brandon https://www.jennibrandon.com \n
