SUMMARY:Jenni Brandon’s An Orange Tree Performed by Leigh Muñoz and Lia Uribe at The Ninth Meg Quigley Vivaldi Competition and Symposium
DESCRIPTION:Jenni Brandon’s  An Orange Tree for Bassoon and Contrabassoon performed by Leigh Muñoz and Lia Uribe at The Ninth Meg Quigley Vivaldi Competition and Symposium on Saturday\, January 7\, 2023 at the University of Arizona Fred Fox School of Music.  An Orange Tree for bassoon and contrabassoon explores and honors a story of remembrance and the ability to start a new life in a new land. Using the unique colors of the bassoon and contrabassoon\, there is a conversation between these two instruments as they explore how an orange tree reminds us of our memories and creates a spacious\, and at times\, meditative state of reverence and memory.
