Duo Lin-Lynn (Weichen Lin and Lynn Vartan) give the World Premiere of Jenni’s new work Clay Pipes and Spiral Shells for two marimbas.  This work, commissioned by Duo Lin-Lynn, also includes narration from an original poem by Brandon Krieg. Part of the larger work Death Valley Symphony, this stand-along movement is inspired by Death Valley National Park and the original people who inhabited it. The poem reminds us that we are here because of them, but also asks us to recognize the harm caused to Native Americans, and the journey we must take to always remember.
