The first ever Musser Marimba Festival will be held in Manheim, PA on Oct. 12 – 18

The first ever Musser Marimba Festival will be held in Manheim, PA and other local venues from Oct. 12 – 18. Presented by MostlyMarimba and co-hosted by the Lancaster Marimba Ensemble (based in Lancaster, PA) and Heartland Marimba (based in Waterloo, IA), the festival aims to celebrate the vast influences of the Manheim native, Clair Omar Musser, on modern marimba performance. Through a variety of events and concerts, audiences of all ages can explore, enjoy, and be educated about marimba performance and history. The grand finale of the week-long celebration is a 60-piece marimba orchestra concert held on Saturday, Oct. 18

Jenni is Co-Artistic director of Heartland Marimba and will conduct several works on the Marimba Orchestra Concert, including the World Premiere of her work Badwater Basin for Marimba Orchestra. This work, originally for Marimba Quartet, has been arranged for marimba orchestra and features Heartland Marimba and Lancaster Marimba Ensemble!
