Opera is made for love — the wilder the better. When the eccentrically brilliant pianist/composer Erik Satie fell head over heels for the vibrantly ambitious painter and former trapeze artist Suzanne Valadon, even the Paris art scene of the late 19th century had to stop and take notice. In his tiny cash-strapped Montmartre apartment on the Rue Cortot, Satie and Valadon have just made love for the first time. While Valadon sleeps, Satie contemplates how she has changed his life forever.
