This work was commissioned by bassoonist Scott Pool and was premiered by the University of Texas at Arlington Wind Symphony under the direction of Doug Stotter with Rogene Russell on oboe.

This work tells the story of the Galaxy, from the spiral galaxy to a supermassive black hole, and the orion nebula.  Scott Pool- bassoon premiered the work with Rogene Russell on oboe with the University of Texas at Arlington Wind Symphony under the direction of Doug Stotter in February 2013.

Instrumentation (one to a part): solo oboe, solo bassoon, piccolo, 2 flutes, 2 oboes, 3 clarinets, bass clarinet, 2 bassoons, 2 alto saxophones, tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone, 3 trumpets, 4 horns, 2 trombones, euphonium, tuba, 3 percussionists.
