Description

Bright Leaf for solo bassoon was written for Christin Schillinger and her now husband Mike for their wedding day in October 2021 They got married at a winery outside of Ithaca called Bright Leaf, and I wanted to write something that commemorated their wedding day and the beauty of this location. This work explores the beauty of the rows of vines and grapes in beauty that stretches out under the sun, and the possibilities of a beautiful life together.

Currently a stand-alone solo work around 3:30 minutes.
