Kalliope Reed Quintet releases the World Premiere recording of Jenni Brandon’s The Wildflower Quintet on their album Cañas sin Fronteras (reeds without borders) in April 2026!

Album release concert will take place at Croma Space in Boston, Massachusetts on Saturday, April 11 at 7pm.

The Wildflower Quintet  for Reed Quintet (Oboe/English horn, Clarinet, Soprano/Alto Saxophone, Bass Clarinet, Bassoon), is a re-imagining of Jenni’s work The Wildflower Trio (oboe, bassoon, piano). Reed Quintet version was commissioned by Kalliope Reed Quintet.

This work, as The Wildflower Trio for oboe, bassoon, and piano, was commissioned by the College of Fine Arts of the University of Texas at Austin to honor the life and environmental work of Lady Bird Johnson.
