Jenni Brandon is an acclaimed composer and conductor whose music blends lyrical beauty with inspiration from nature, poetry, and personal stories. Her catalogue of over 100 works includes solo pieces, chamber music, concertos, operas, and orchestral compositions, featured on more than two dozen albums with labels such as Navona Records, Delos, and MSR Classics. Brandon’s artistry has earned prestigious honors including the Sorel Medallion and the American Prize, and her works are required repertoire for international competitions and auditions at leading institutions.
Through Jenni Brandon Music, she oversees global publication of her works. As a conductor, she has led performances of her works and others, notably her opera 3 PADEREWSKIS at the Kennedy Center. Fin de la Tierra: Land’s End – Concerto for Clarinet in B-flat and Chamber Orchestra: In this 19-minute concerto for Clarinet in B-flat with Chamber Orchestra, the diverse ecosystem of the Sea of Cortez and surrounding area is explored. The clarinet soloist serves as a guide, taking us on a journey through this UNESCO World Heritage site to observe the beauty and diversity of the landscape, the water, the animals that live in and around it, and their symbiotic relationship that requires a delicate balance of conservation and exploration.

We Are Joy – piano concerto with choir and chamber orchestra asks the question “what is joy” and takes us on a journey through discovering what brings joy to our lives. The Weaver, a one-movement work for Orchestra, captures the essence of the oriole’s song and the intricate craftsmanship of how the bird weaves its cup-like nest. Transcriptions of actual birdsongs and calls are woven throughout the piece, serving as thematic material for the ensemble. Accessible for Youth Orchestras & Community Orchestras.
